SEN Graduate Teaching AssistantWant practical Early Years SEN experience before teacher training?Support Nursery and Reception so learning feels calm, clear and predictable. SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant Immediate start until July 2026 £80 - £90 per day Good primary school, Wolverhampton Small group and classroom support within EYFSThe Role:You will provide steady support across Nursery and Reception so pupils with additional needs can access learning all day. You will set up and rotate continuous provision, prepare simple visuals and task boards, and keep areas tidy for independence. You will break activities into clear steps, use visual timetables and now/next prompts, and rehearse routines so transitions run smoothly. You will lead short adult-led tasks in phonics, early number, communication and fine motor skills, then link gains back into play. You will model clear language at children’s level, extend play with focused questions, and coach turn taking and sharing. You will record quick observations, update intervention trackers, and agree next actions with the class teacher and SENCO. You will follow behaviour and safeguarding procedures and support daily routines at drop-off, snack, outdoor learning and home time.The Candidate & Requirements:You are patient, organised and clear in your communication. You follow plans, spot triggers early and adjust calmly so children re-engage and grow independence. Degree, 2:2 or above in any subject.Communication, confident written and spoken English.Enhanced DBS, held already or willingness to obtain.Desire to work in education or with children, strong interest in EYFS, SEN and wellbeing.Experience working with children, relevant experience is desirable but not essential.
