Driving Requirement: Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle essential

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated female Domiciliary Care Worker to provide essential support to individuals living in their own homes. This role is currently being recruited in accordance with Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010, due to the personal care needs and preferences of the people we support, who are female.

The successful candidate will have experience in community-based care, a genuine passion for supporting others, and the ability to promote dignity, independence, and well-being. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, medication support, mobility, and providing both physical and emotional care in line with person-centred care plans.

Key Responsibilities

Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and continence support.
Assist with meal preparation, ensuring dietary requirements and preferences are met.
Prompt and/or administer medication in accordance with agreed care plans.
Support safe mobility and appropriate moving and handling techniques.
Respond to emergencies and provide basic first aid where appropriate.
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and hygiene in clients’ home environments.
Record accurate care notes and promptly report changes in client well-being.
Build trusting, respectful relationships with clients and their families.
Travel between client homes in a timely, safe, and professional manner.
Requirements

Previous experience in domiciliary care, community care, or a similar role is highly desirable.
Confident and competent in delivering personal care.
Basic understanding of medication handling and first aid.
Strong communication skills with a respectful, person-centred approach.
Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive care team.
Commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, and high-quality care provision.
