About
About the Channel: I run a YouTube channel focused on mental performance and mindset for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athletes. The videos are simple talking-head lessons with clean pacing, clear message delivery, and minimal effects. Think Ed Lawrence style editing: -clean -tight -engaging -professional but still human References: Ed Lawrence → https://www.youtube.com/@ed-lawrence My channel → https://www.youtube.com/@SamAntonen Ideal Editing Style Explained: https://youtu.be/dWf0AHcwKDk?si=mWgyQFBic9l_wUBb ⸻ What You’ll Edit • 10–15 minute YouTube videos • 20–40 minutes of raw talking-head footage • Word-for-word script provided • Client screenshots + visuals provided • Minimal graphics (simple text, zooms, clean transitions) Nothing flashy. Just clean, tight storytelling and pacing. ⸻ Responsibilities: • Edit 10–15 min videos from 30–45 min of source footage • Follow the script closely (match cuts to the spoken lines) • Remove all mistakes, gaps, filler, hesitations • Add simple zoom-ins, clean transitions, minimal text • Add visuals or client screenshots when relevant • Clean audio + do basic color correction • Work directly inside CapCut Pro (shared project space) • Deliver consistent 3–4 day turnaround If you can make a 10-minute talking head feel like 5 minutes, you’re perfect for this job. ⸻ Requirements: • Skilled in CapCut Pro (or willing to use it immediately) • Strong English comprehension • Experience editing talking head or coaching content • Understand YouTube pacing and retention • Able to follow clear instructions • Good communication and reliable delivery • Comfortable matching a specific style (Ed Lawrence) You MUST edit inside CapCut Pro. Please confirm this before applying. ⸻ Bonus Points: • Experience with educational YouTube channels • Able to create simple animations or callouts • Familiar with combat sports or mindset content (not required) ⸻ TEST EDIT (Required for All Applicants) To apply, please complete a short unpaid test. This helps me find the right long-term editor. It’s a simple, fair test that takes 45–60 minutes. Your task: Edit from the start of the footage until the “* Test Edit Finish *” section in the script. I’ve clearly marked the exact end point inside the script. Test Edit Folder: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1m9DbD6uTPii72w1WS1zuTvxhjaUdCwiz?usp=sharing What to do: 1. Match cuts to the script 2. Remove gaps and mistakes 3. Add simple/subtle zooms 4. Add text overlays (see my & Ed Lawrence videos) 5. Use visuals and client screenshot from the assets 6. Clean up audio + basic color correction 7. Return your edit via: • CapCut shared project link (preferred) OR • A simple exported draft (720p is fine) Keep the editing minimal, no fancy transitions, no emojis, no TikTok-style effects. Please note: You do not need to edit the full 15 minutes. ⸻ Apply With: 1. Your test edit (CapCut link or export) 2. How long the test took you 3. A short message confirming: • You can work in CapCut Pro • You’re comfortable with $5/hr • You can deliver 2-hour edits once templates are set
