Workshop Machining & Welding TechnicianPermanent PositionSalary dependant on experience Monday to Friday 7.30am – 4.20pm SwindonOur client are a leading company specialising in the development and production of advanced materials and solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing, assembling, and testing plasma torches and related equipment. Support installation, operation, and maintenance of plasma systems at the trial facility and customer sites worldwide. Duties include precision machining, fabrication, and hot works such as MiG/TiG welding and brazing.Mechanical Workshop Technician Job Description Manufacture and testing of mechanical components and assemblies Including Welding and machining.Assemble, inspect, and test special-purpose machinery.Perform fitting and maintenance on plant and equipment.Provide Operational & hot works support during plasma trials.Carry out other tasks as may be specified from time to time by the company in line with business requirements. Mechanical Workshop Technician Essential Qualifications / Experience / Skills Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar roleMiG / TiG weldingManual machining of components using centre-lathes, turret mills, pillar drills etcAbility to interpret technical drawings and manufacture components
