Job Title: Workday Platform Specialist Location: Cambridge or London, United Kingdom (Hybrid - 50% working time at the office) Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent This role will be an integral part of the People Technology Team, who are responsible for people related technology for our 9000 colleagues in over 40 countries within the AVEVA Group. As a Platform Enablement Partner, you will play a key role in enabling the effective, secure, and scalable use of our People Technology platforms. Your primary focus will be Workday: helping us create a world class platform with strong foundations that gives us the ability to adopt new features and innovate. You’ll do this by establishing and maintaining reporting standards and governance, ensuring data is accurate, accessible, and aligned with business needs. You will also provide support for security administration and integration enablement, helping to maintain a secure and connected People Technology ecosystem. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role that blends technical understanding with a strong sense of stewardship and platform management. Key responsibilities Define and maintain standards for Workday reporting. Partner with the People Team and business stakeholders to ensure reporting needs are met consistently and securely. Support the lifecycle of reports, including cataloguing, versioning, and deprecation. Promote self-service reporting through consistent standards, documentation, and training. Assist in the maintenance of role-based access controls and user provisioning frameworks. Support access reviews, audits, and compliance activities. Provide support for People Technology integrations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation. Assist in maintaining integration standards and reusable frameworks. Assist in the management of EIBs and the running of EIB loads. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure secure and reliable data flows between systems. Oversee proper use of People technologies and provide support, advice and training on best practice to HR colleagues. Represent the People Technology team on HR projects as required, interpretating requirements, suggesting solutions and ensuring associated deliverables are completed on time and to the required standard. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, particularly the HR CoE’s and People Services teams. Participate actively in the Workday Community, propose and advocate for improvements to the Workday solution and build a network of peers to share best practice with. Handle sensitive data with care always having GDPR in mind, ensuring all necessary security measures are taken. Essential requirements Bachelors degree or 5 + years relevant experience in a related discipline. At least 2 years experience providing Workday support for a Global organisation. A passion for HR technology and how it can be used to improve HR operations. Strong understanding of reporting tools and data governance principles. Familiarity with access control models and integration concepts. Active interest and working understanding of Artificial Intelligence and how AI can be used to solve problems for HR. A particular focus on Agentic AI and LLM functionality is desired. Ability to deal with complex and varied problems and come up with appropriate solutions. Flexibility to work in a global team across multiple time zones. Strong communication skills – able to communicate and collaborate across cultures at all levels. Well developed general IT skills – Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook. Understanding of relevant regulations such as GDPR and the EU AI Act.
