The Governors and Headteacher at Whitburn Village Primary School are looking to appoint a caring and friendly Lunchtime Supervisor. You will be responsible for supervising children across the school at lunchtime, leading active play in the playground / playing fields, and supporting in the dining hall when required ensuring the safety and wellbeing and good behaviour of all pupils.

Duties will include:

andbull;

Supervision of pupils in the playground / playing fields and in or around the school

andbull;

Leading games and structured active play in the playground

andbull;

Reporting incidents and accidents

andbull;

Supporting and implementing the schoolandrsquo;s Behaviour Policy

andbull;

Supervising children indoor in the event of bad weather

andbull;

Supervision of pupils in the dining hall when required

andbull;

Associated ancillary duties

You must have a good understanding of caring for children and the ability to work effectively as part of a team is essential.

Whitburn Village Primary School safeguards and protects its pupils and staff. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to a DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
