Welder (Contract)Farnborough£23.27 per hour Our client, based in Farnborough, is seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong background in fabrication and aluminium welding.Welder Roles and Responsibilities: Perform MIG and TIG welding to a high standardPrimarily work with thin-gauge aluminium materialsRead and interpret detailed engineering drawings and specificationsUse a range of tools, including grinders and manual/electric equipmentEnsure all work meets required production targets and deadlinesMaintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and safetyWelder Ideal Candidate: Proven experience in MIG and TIG weldingMinimum of 4 years’ fabrication experience, including working with multi-level BoMsStrong practical skills with hand and power toolsExperience using inspection and measuring equipmentAbility to read and interpret complex technical drawings and welding symbolsExtensive experience in fabrication, including complex builds and designsAt least 4 years’ experience working with thin-gauge aluminium (1.5–6mm)Previous coding/qualification in aluminium welding (1.5–6mm) (Desirable)BPSS Security Clearance (or willingness to obtain)Welder Working Hours: Monday – Thursday, 08:00 – 16:45Friday, 08:00 – 13:00Jackie Kerr Recruitment is an independent agency that has been established for 28 years.
