Job Overview
We are seeking a Barista with outstanding ability and proven experience in making great coffee for our brand new neighbourhood shop in Mile End. We own and operate an established bakery with a great reputation in Bethnal Green (Breidbakers) and are hoping to serve some of the best coffee in East London in this new spot alongside our baked goods and a great selection of wine and beer amongst other things. Take-away only.

Requirements

• At least 2 years experience in specialty coffee at highly rated establishments with an emphasis on excellence.
• Deep knowledge and understanding of coffee ratios, dialling in, pressure profiling and consistently great milk steaming and pour. Knowledge of coffee origins, processes and flavour profiles.
• Strong customer service skills with a natural ability to build rapport. Must enjoy the challenge of engaging with customers and ensuring they leave happy.
• Clean and methodical working practice; taking pride in keeping a clean and tidy bar even in busier periods.
• Experience of food prep and food hygiene requirements essential.

Above all, a passion for coffee, baking, food and drink and the drive to be great at your craft is what we'd love to see.

We are primarily looking for someone to work 4 days a week (07.30-16.30) but if you feel like you are perfect for the role but are looking for something part-time, feel free to apply with an accompanying note. We may be flexible or recruiting for more positions in the future.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £16.00-£16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 34 – 38 per week
