We’re looking for a reliable, communicative website maintenance specialist to join our team on a long-term basis. This is not a one-off project — we’re seeking someone who values continuity, consistency, and great working relationships. Our previous web technician worked with us for 3 years, and we hope to find someone equally dedicated and professional. What You’ll Do You’ll be responsible for ongoing maintenance and improvements on two WordPress websites. Your key tasks will include: - Regular plugin updates (and verifying full site functionality afterward) - Troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues - Identifying and implementing speed optimization solutions, especially for mobile (currently, Litespeed Cache breaks our site — you will find a suitable alternative) - Managing Elementor layouts and making design or content adjustments as requested - Handling custom fields and minor coding work when required - Performing general website health checks and preventive maintenance What We’re Looking For - Excellent communicator — you explain things clearly, never rush, and never get frustrated - Fluent English (written and spoken) - Outstanding customer service — you are patient, approachable, and solution-oriented - Dependable and responsive — available within 1 hour of our request during normal UK working hours - Consistent availability — including weekends for time-sensitive or urgent requests if they happen to arise - Strong technical knowledge of WordPress, Elementor, and basic coding (HTML/CSS/PHP) - Experience working with custom fields and modern WP plugins Commitment & Pay - Ongoing work, 2–3 hours per week on average - We’re open to either hourly or a monthly retainer — to be discussed - You’ll be treated as part of the team, not as a one-time freelancer How to Apply When applying, please include: - A short note about your experience with Elementor and plugin troubleshooting - Examples of WordPress sites you currently maintain - Your preferred working arrangement (hourly or retainer) and typical response time
