We’re developing Mythologous, a browser-based narrative RPG that blends text-driven adventure with evocative, painterly world-building. Our core interface is already fully functional and scalable, but now we want to enrich it visually — to make it feel like a living manuscript: aged parchment, Celtic and mythic tones, soft light, and hand-crafted atmosphere. We’re looking for a creative visual designer or UI artist to collaborate on transforming our clean, functional UI into something immersive and emotionally resonant — a digital grimoire that players want to live inside. Think: The depth and warmth of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous The texture and tactility of a hand-drawn codex The clarity and adaptability of a modern, responsive web app The result should feel timeless and alive — like a forgotten RPG from a mythic age, rediscovered in your browser. Our game is HTML/CSS-based but we are also using Vue and Phasor, we need someone who can create: Visual style concepts and refinements — improving the aesthetic cohesion and atmosphere. Art direction elements, including parchment textures, borders, icons, and light overlays. Implementation guidance or assets that preserve full responsiveness and scalability (no fixed-resolution designs). You will need: Strong background in UI/UX design for games or narrative web experiences. A sense of tone and immersion — you understand how to make an interface feel alive through lighting, texture, and typography. Familiarity with responsive web design (CSS/HTML) and scalable elements (SVG, blend modes, etc.). Optional but valued: illustration skills or experience designing in fantasy / mythic styles. You don’t need to code — we already have a working interface — but you should understand how art lives inside CSS and layout constraints. Bonus: Background in fantasy or illustrated world-building, western RPGs like Ultima, The Elder Scrolls, Diablo or Baulder's Gate We’ll provide: Screenshots of current UI Font references Colour palette Collaboration: You’ll work directly with me (creative director / developer).
