Job Title: Stores Operative
Location: Mountmellick
Reports to: Stores Manager
Starting Hourly Rate: €15.50 per hour (€17.50 after successful 6-month probation period)
Job Purpose
The Stores Operative will be a key member of the stores team, responsible for the efficient and accurate management of stock. This role is essential for maintaining organized inventory, ensuring timely order fulfillment, and contributing to the overall smooth operation of the stores department.
Key Responsibilities
Goods Inwards: Accurately receive and process incoming stock, ensuring all items are correctly recorded and stored.
Order Picking: Efficiently pick and prepare stock for outgoing orders, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
Inventory Management: Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with stocktaking to maintain accurate inventory records.
Stores Organization: Help with the layout and organization of the stores to maximize space and improve efficiency.
General Duties: Assist with other duties within the stores department as required.
Required Skills and Experience
Stores Experience: Previous experience in a stores or warehouse environment is a significant advantage.
Computer Confidence: Proven experience and confidence using computer systems for data entry and stock management.
Teamwork: A strong ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
Personal Attributes: Must be bright, energetic, and highly motivated with a positive attitude.
Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail is required to ensure the accuracy of stock and order information.
