As a Vice President, Social Media Marketing, you will lead Empower’s enterprise social media strategy to strengthen brand reputation, grow engagement, and drive full-funnel performance. You’ll shape how Empower shows up across social channels through clear storytelling, timely engagement, and audience-first content. As a player-coach, you’ll balance hands-on leadership with strategic direction while partnering closely with Brand, Executive Communications, and business leaders. This role matters because it connects our mission, our leaders, and our products to the audiences we serve. What you will do Set and execute an enterprise social media strategy aligned to brand and business priorities Lead content, engagement, and performance across LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube Own social strategy and content for the CEO and select senior executives Develop channel-specific content including video, financial shorts, thought leadership, and research-driven assets Build and scale influencer programs that support brand and growth objectives Oversee social listening, community engagement, and rapid-response protocols Partner with Brand, Marketing, HR, Legal/Compliance, and business teams to align organic and paid efforts Adapt cross-channel content to optimize performance by platform Use analytics and insights to guide decisions, test new approaches, and improve results Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing social media team and agency partners What you will bring 10+ years of experience leading social media strategy and execution Proven experience building and managing influencer programs 7+ years leading large-scale promotional or brand programs Experience working in regulated corporate or agency environments Strong people leadership skills, including executive partnership Ability to balance creative storytelling with business outcomes Solid project management and strategic planning skills Strong analytical skills with experience using social analytics tools Ability to prioritize and perform in fast-moving, high-pressure moments Clear, confident communication and presentation skills What will set you apart Financial services or similarly regulated industry experience Experience leading executive and corporate reputation social strategies Background in rapid-response and issues-based social engagement Deep understanding of social platform algorithms and emerging formats Experience integrating social into full-funnel marketing strategies Strong influencer governance and brand safety practices Comfort testing new tools, trends, and content models Track record of building distinctive, recognizable brand voice on social ***Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time, including CPT/OPT.*** What we offer you We offer an array of diverse and inclusive benefits regardless of where you are in your career. BRGs are open to all. Base Salary Range $151,800.00 - $220,050.00 The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
