We’re a friendly, forward-thinking accountancy firm based in Yorkshire looking for a proactive and creative Virtual Assistant (VA) to support our marketing, content, and client communication processes. You’ll be working closely with our small team to keep things running smoothly, help improve our marketing output, and bring fresh ideas to the table. ⸻ 🧰 Main Responsibilities 🎨 Content & Design • Use Canva to create marketing assets, adverts, and social posts using our templates. • Occasionally design new layouts or suggest creative improvements. • (Bonus) Create short videos or animations for social media. 📧 Email Marketing • Use MailerLite to send our weekly newsletter (experience with any email platform, such as Mailchimp or similar, is perfectly fine). • Newsletters are provided as Word documents — you’ll copy them into our email template, format them, and schedule them for send. • Occasionally refresh or suggest design and content improvements. ✍️ Content Writing & Editing • Use ChatGPT (we have custom GPTs set up) to draft or rewrite blog content and website copy. • Rewrite monthly blog articles we receive from a membership service to ensure originality and avoid duplicate content. 🌐 Website Updates • Upload the blogs to WordPress each week. Around 8 per month. • Prepare matching Canva images and ensure posts are correctly tagged and SEO-friendly. 📩 Proposal Follow-Ups • Review recent proposals and use ClickSend (templates provided) to send polite follow-up emails or messages 2–4 days later. • Ensure communication with prospects remains professional and timely. ⸻ 💼 About You We’re looking for someone who: • Has proven experience as a Virtual Assistant, ideally working with UK accountants or similar professional services. • Is familiar with Canva, MailerLite/Mailchimp (or similar), WordPress, and ChatGPT/AI tools. • Has excellent written English, attention to detail, and strong organisational skills. • Is self-motivated and reliable — comfortable managing recurring weekly and monthly tasks. • (Bonus) Has a background in marketing, content, or design and enjoys contributing ideas. ⸻ 🚀 The Role & Future Opportunities This role will start with the responsibilities above but may develop over time to include: • Social media scheduling and management, • Content analytics and performance reporting, • Client onboarding support, • Or other marketing/admin duties as we grow together. We value initiative — if you have ideas to improve our processes or content, we’d love to hear them. ⸻ 💰 Details • Part-time, flexible hours (approx. 5–10 per week to start). • Ongoing role for the right person. • Paid per hour or per task, depending on experience. • UK-based applicants preferred, but we’ll consider others with experience supporting UK businesses or accountants.
