About

We are seeking a proactive and organized virtual assistant to help identify and connect with potential angel investors in the cycling industry. The ideal candidate will have strong research skills, familiarity with the cycling market, and experience in outreach strategies. Your role will involve compiling a list of potential investors, crafting outreach messages, and managing communication. If you are passionate about cycling and have a knack for networking, we want to hear from you! Angel Investor Scouting Assistant (Cycling Industry Focus) Mission We are looking for a Personal Virtual Assistant / Research & Outreach Specialist to help us identify, contact, and schedule meetings with former or active professional cyclists who invest (or are interested in investing) in innovative sports or tech startups. This is a high-touch, relationship-based role, not a bulk outreach task. You’ll act as an executive connector — building a shortlist of the right names, finding personal or management contacts, and initiating warm, human-tone introductions. About SCIMM [www.scimm.eu] SCIMM is a Belgian sport-tech startup reinventing how performance apparel and equipment fit the human body. We build a geometry-based fit intelligence layer that connects the shape of products (cycling wear, saddles, bikes, etc.) with the geometry of real riders. Our mission: turn sizing chaos into geometry clarity. We are prepping to raising €2M to scale our Fit Matrix technology and data infrastructure. One open seat is reserved for an Angel Investor from the cycling world — ideally an athlete who truly understands fit = performance = comfort. The Role You will help us find and reach the right angel in the cycling world. That means: • Building a list of 25–40 potential angels: former or active pro cyclists who have invested or publicly expressed interest in innovation or tech. • Identifying agents, managers, or direct contact channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, management agencies, team PR). • Drafting and sending personalized outreach messages (we’ll provide tone templates). • Coordinating intro calls / meeting slots with our Founder (Tessa Wardenburg). • Maintaining a clear tracker of contact status, replies, and scheduling. Who You’re Looking For (target profile examples) • Top-level or semi-retired pro cyclists (men/women) with reputation and network: e.g. riders like Tim Wellens, Philippe Gilbert, Greg Van Avermaet, Anna van der Breggen, Marianne Vos, Annemiek van Vleuten, etc. • Active riders nearing transition who are thinking about post-career investments (e.g. Mathieu van der Poel, Wout van Aert, etc.). • Cyclists turned investors or advisors already active in sport tech, apparel, or sustainability projects. • Agencies representing athlete-investors (Monaco Sports Group, Rocacorba Collective, etc.). ⸻ Deliverables 1. Master List (Google Sheet) • Name, nationality, status (active/retired) • Past or current teams • Known investments or interests • Contact channel(s): management email, Instagram, LinkedIn • Short “Why relevant” note 2. Outreach Messages (ready to send) • Short, personal, respectful — not salesy • Tone example: “We’re building a new geometry standard for performance fit. As someone who truly understands the value of comfort and precision in cycling wear, we’d love to explore how your perspective could help shape this next step.” 3. Intro Call Coordination • Reach out under founder supervision • Book 15-min video calls directly into calendar • Confirm attendance and prep short notes per meeting 4. Weekly Report • of new leads added • of messages sent / responses • of meetings booked • Insights or new names discovered Tone & Approach • Respectful, intelligent, and invitational. • Think Apple clarity + On Running authenticity + YSL elegance. • Never “pitch” — you’re inviting a conversation about legacy and innovation. • Messages must sound human and direct, not automated. • Discretion and trust are crucial — you’ll handle private social-media access. Tools & Skills Needed • Excellent written English. • Deep LinkedIn, Instagram, and Google research skills. • Experience with investor or celebrity outreach in sport, tech, or entertainment. • Ability to track and summarize progress clearly (Google Sheets, Notion, or Airtable). • Professional tone when contacting agents or management teams Practical Setup • Start: immediate (October 2025). • Duration: initial 4 weeks (extendable). • Time: 10–15 hours/week. • Reports directly to Founder. • Budget: open, based on experience (we prefer quality over quantity). Bonus Points • Knowledge of European or global cycling scene. • Based in EU or familiar with Belgian / Dutch / Italian cycling culture. • Understanding of startup funding and angel investing.
