  • POSITION SUMMARY:** The Vice President, Compliance & Control plays a critical role within the Risk & Regulatory Compliance function, specifically within the Compliance & Control job family. The position demands a strong understanding of compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements, fostering a culture of accountability and transparency in line with BNY's principles. **PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:** - Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures by leveraging extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements to ensure organizational adherence. - Conduct regular compliance assessments and audits to identify potential risks and areas for improvement, demonstrating expertise in risk management. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance controls into business processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. - Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance-related matters, fostering a culture of compliance and ethical conduct. - Monitor and interpret regulatory changes, advising senior management on implications and necessary adjustments to policies. - Lead investigations into compliance breaches, ensuring thorough analysis and corrective actions are undertaken to mitigate future risks. **EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:** - Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field. - Advanced certifications in compliance or risk management (e.g., CRCM, CAMS) are advantageous. **EXPERIENCE:** - Typically 5-10 years of experience. **SKILLS:** - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and address compliance issues effectively. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to educate and influence stakeholders across the organization. - Proven ability to interpret regulatory changes and implement appropriate compliance strategies.
