- • Oversees all clinical staff within the Urgent Cares and covers for Nurse Manager when she/he is out of the office.
- • Works closely with Nurse Manager to ensure all policies and procedures are being followed by all office staff and providers.
- • Schedules clinical staff for training at Urgent Cares; Troubleshoots scheduling issues with Nurse Manager.
- • Trains all Clinical staff in clinical protocols and procedures.
- • Responsible for orientation and electronic record training specific to Urgent Care.
- • Assist with documentation, order entry and specimen errors.
- • Participates in Urgent Care process and quality improvement initiative. Attends quarterly staff meetings.
- • Assists in coordinating building and equipment maintenance. Maintain and stock necessary supplies, equipment and pharmaceuticals. Keep inventory of supplies, order and maintain record of medical supplies ordered.
- • Assists in Restocking and maintaining general cleanliness of all clinical areas.
- • Coordinates care for patients in the Urgi-care setting ensuring staff provides quality care according to current standards of practice. Under the direct supervision of the Provider, assists in providing care to patients. Perform Intake and evaluate patients, obtain major complaints and brief medical history when necessary and take vital signs with complete chart documentation.
- • Initiates a patient education plan at time of discharge according to the individualized needs of the patient, as documented by the Provider.
- • Performs other work-related duties as assigned or requested.
- • Challenges current working practices; identifies process improvement opportunities and presents recommendations and solutions to management. Engages and commits to the organization’s culture of continuous improvement by actively participating, supporting, and promoting CCHC Pillars of Excellence.
- • Registered RN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- • 3 - 4 years of clinical experience required.
- • Experience in clinical education, acute care or urgent care preferred.
- • Proficient in computer applications.
- • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
- • Current Basic Life Support Certification.
- • IV insertion/ therapy skills required.
- • Demonstrates goal-oriented thinking, leadership ability, and strong interpersonal, operational and organizational skills.
- • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
