Little Oaks Pre-school in Waddesdon is looking for a unqualified Pre-school Assistant to join our fun and friendly sessions, working within a team of experienced, and professional caring staff. The position could start as soon as possible (following the receipt of suitable references and clearance via other suitability checks and completion of the statutory training courses as outlined in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory requirements).

Minimum 19.5 hours per week term time only - Monday, Wednesday & Friday (applicant must be available between the hours of 09.00 to 15.30).

Salary paid at the national minimum/living wage (rate dependant on age and qualification).

As a dedicated and passionate pre-school assistant, you will play a vital role in creating engaging activities tailored to each child's needs, promoting their development towards key milestones. Supporting a safe and nurturing environment to empower children to express themselves, engage their minds, and foster a lifelong love of learning.

• Supporting children's learning and development through play and activities
• Working closely with staff to create a safe, nurturing, and fun environment
• Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
• Encouraging children's independence, confidence, and social skills

You will work alongside members of the management team, pre-school staff, committee members and outside agencies to develop existing practice, and maintain the settings high standards through caring relationships with the families in our care.

The position will involve setting up and clearing away resources at the beginning and end of our sessions, caring for children including those with additional needs, working on targets set to help the children reach their full potential. A cheerful and caring disposition and a willingness to work hard and learn are essential!
