This role will focus on underwriting new and existing business across our global MedMal portfolio, a book with a broad appetite with the ability to write on syndicate and company page. Including some binders and facilities business, this role will provide you with a broad exposure across our book. Surrounded by supportive colleagues our market-facing underwriters own their own book of business with exposure across complex and technical risks. We empower our underwriters to use their subject matter expertise and experience, with referrals required only where necessary. We're keen to connect with medmal professionals who are open to their next move Your New Role: Underwrite insurance risks in accordance with the Business Plan and the personal authority to meet business objectivesBuild and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including customers, brokers, business partners and colleagues, to maximise influenceDevelop relationships in line with the Business Plan to support the achievement of business objectivesUnderstand and comply with QBE reinsurance strategy to minimise risk and deliver business plan objectivesParticipate fully and use your expertise to shape and develop strategy, knowledge and best practicePositively promote the department, division and company as a whole, in order to maximise brand leverageComply with all legal and regulatory requirements to ensure obligations are metAdhere to underwriting standards, instructions and good practice to minimise risk and maximise efficiency<l
