- Role Overview
- We are seeking a highly motivated Investment Banking Associate to join our UK coverage and sector teams in London. Associates at Jefferies play an integral role in the execution of M&A, capital markets, and other strategic advisory mandates, with meaningful exposure to senior bankers, clients, and live transactions from day one.

- Key Responsibilities
- Transaction Execution
- Lead day‑to‑day execution workstreams on M&A, ECM, and financing transactions.
- Build, review, and refine detailed financial models (DCF, LBO, merger models, comparable analysis).
- Prepare high‑quality client presentations, management presentations, IMs and other deal materials.
- Coordinate due diligence processes with clients, lawyers, consultants, and internal teams.
- Client & Internal Engagement
- Work closely with senior bankers to support strategic dialogue and idea generation.
- Participate in client meetings, contributing analysis and insights where appropriate.
- Collaborate across product and sector teams within the wider Jefferies platform.
- Market & Strategic Analysis
- Conduct in‑depth industry and company research to support pitch and execution materials.
- Analyse market conditions, valuation trends, and transaction precedents.
- Develop and present insights that support client recommendations and transaction strategy.
- Team & Leadership Development
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Analysts, ensuring strong analytical output and professional development.
- Help drive process efficiency, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Qualifications & Experience
- Prior full‑time investment banking experience at Associate level, or top‑performing Analyst ready for promotion.
- Strong technical skills including modelling, valuation, and financial analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
- High level of attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Proven ability to work effectively in teams and build trusted relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Demonstrated interest in UK corporates, markets, and broader economic trends.
