We currently have an exciting role for a Transport Planner, providing an excellent opportunity to join the Moran Logistics (Ambient) team at our Doncaster site. The Transport Planner position is Monday – Friday and Saturday AM on a rota.

About the Role:

• Planning Vehicle Runs for around 45 Vehicles shared with another planner
• Responsible for rating up new customer orders
• On-Boarding new customers and ensuring their preferences are communicated and rolled out amongst the team
• Processing Customer Orders
• Managing Customer Portals
• Support with Traffic management through the day
• Profit and Loss Monitoring
• Plan in scheduled maintenance appointments
• Accurate recording of trailer locations
• Assist with driver and vehicle allocation, booking agency drivers etc
• Source and set up sub-contract hauliers
• Manage sub-contractor relationships and performance

What we are looking for:

• Experienced transport planner, ideally within general haulage
• Reliable and flexible to meet the needs of the business
• Effective communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Organised, able to prioritise and multi-task
• Able to prioritise and multi-task
• Calm under pressure
• IT literate, competent in Microsoft packages
• Self-motivated, flexible and confident
