Transport Operations Officer needed in Barnsley Paying £16.35 per hr ref 000A C28C / 1Full time hours on a temporary basisKey ResponsibilitiesManage short-term vehicle hire requirements, bookings, and allocation of appropriate vehicles, including maintaining hire records.Manage the service schedule for vehicles and plant, ensuring availability for maintenance and inspections.Maintain and oversee the approved supplier list for contract and spot hire of vehicles.Apply substantial knowledge of policies, procedures, and legislation to ensure the transport service operates compliantly and legally.Liaise, negotiate, and collaborate with managers, staff, subcontractors, and members of the public to maintain strong communication links.Support daily workshop operations, including time recording and data allocation systems.Input, check, and maintain accurate and confidential records across electronic and paper systems.Take cash and card payments in line with internal audit procedures.Issue, copy, and receive supplier, customer, and internal non-conformance documentation.Provide accurate information for drafting invoices, including warranty claims.Carry out routine driving licence checks (plus MOT and insurance checks where applicable).Place orders and process invoices for paymentIf you are interested in the role, please email your CV to quoting the reference number.
