About
We’re looking for Sessional Youth Workers – Training Kitchen to deliver fun, hands-on cooking sessions where young people can learn essential skills – from preparing simple meals to creating dishes that celebrate different cultures. You’ll teach kitchen safety, food hygiene, and budgeting while inspiring healthier choices, building confidence, and encouraging young people aged 8–19 (or up to 25 with SEND) to explore food in a creative and inclusive environment.
You’ll need a Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification and experience working with young people, ideally through delivering cooking sessions. Just as important, you’ll bring creativity, confidence, and the ability to plan fun, engaging activities, along with the patience and energy to support young people as they grow. Knowledge of safeguarding, health & safety, and inclusion is also essential, with training provided.
