Fleet and Claims Administrator

We’re looking for a Fleet and Claims Administrator to support our expanding fleet department. This is a key administrative role ensuring the smooth running of our fleet operations through accurate record keeping, compliance support, and claims handling. You’ll be joining a friendly, fast-paced environment where your work directly contributes to the safe and efficient delivery of services nationwide.

About Us

At BJS Distribution, Storage & Couriers, we started our journey in 2009 with a single man and a van. Today, we're a family-run business with a fleet of over 300 vehicles, specialising in two-person home delivery services across the UK. With deep roots in retail, transport, and technology, we continue to grow while staying true to our values of care, reliability, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain up-to-date records and organise vehicle maintenance, repairs, MOTs and inspections
  • Process accident claims, liaising with insurance companies and third parties
  • Keep detailed records of investigations, damages and driver complaints
  • Monitor and support fleet compliance throughout the department
  • Manage communications with suppliers and repair agents
  • Maintain and organise vehicle documentation and logs
  • Report driver-related damages to management and assist in allocating repairs
  • Handle general administrative duties to support the fleet operation

What We're Looking For

  • Self-motivated and confident, with the ability to work independently or part of a team
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, occasionally pressurised environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate data
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Understanding of vehicles, maintenance processes, and claims handling is desirable, but not essential

Training and Development

We're committed to investing development, for the right candidate. We can provide formal training and qualifications to support your career growth within the department.
