We are looking to recruit a reliable and customer focussed Trade Counter & Warehouse assistant to join our team. This role is a mix of customer-facing sales counter duties and warehouse operations, supporting the smooth day-day running of the business.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the plumbing trade, particularly dealing with trade customers, and a strong understanding of plumbing products and materials.
Key responsibilities
Trade counter/ customer service
 Serving trade and retail customers at the sales counter
 Providing product advice and support based on plumbing knowledge
 Processing sales, orders and returns accurately
 Handling telephone and email enquiries
 Maintaining a professional and helpful approach at all times
Warehouse duties
 Booking in deliveries and checking goods against delivery notes
 Organising stock and maintaining a tidy, safe warehouse
 Picking and packing customer orders
 Carrying out regular stock takes
 Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries

ideal experience & skills required
 Proven experience within the plumbing trade
 Previous experience serving customers in a trade counter or merchant environment
 Good knowledge of plumbing products, fittings and materials
 Strong communication and customer service skills
 Basic IT skills (order systems, stock control)
 Ability to work as part of a team and independently
 Must have good timekeeping and organisational skills
