The Global Capacity Building Coalition - Project Associate (12 Month FTC) Location London Business Area Marketing and Public Relations Ref # 10048081 Description & Requirements Launched at COP28 in Dubai, the Global Capacity Building Coalition (GCBC) is an initiative whose aim is to significantly increase the availability and effectiveness of climate finance technical assistance programs for financial institutions and other stakeholders in emerging markets and developing economies. Supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies, the Coalition brings together leading climate finance organizations - including UN agencies, multilateral development banks, standard setters, and private sector partners - to create synergies and respond to growing requests for capacity building support. The GCBC focuses on areas such as: Establishing knowledge-sharing mechanisms, training, and learning, e.g., via the GCBC platform Identifying and supporting the uptake of global best practices and standards. Accelerating and scaling high-potential sustainable finance capacity-building initiatives Encouraging synergies and providing support to its members to enhance the delivery of sustainable finance capacity building support in EMDEs. The RoleWe are seeking a Project Associate to provide operational and programmatic support across the GCBC's activities. This is a unique opportunity for someone early in their career to contribute to the Coalition's impact by helping deliver effective programme management, stakeholder engagement, events, and communications. The successful candidate will work closely with the Programme Director and the GCBC Leadership, providing day-to-day coordination and support across multiple workstreams.
