Role Description
Join us as a Testing Analyst. We’ll look to you to undertake testing activities to agreed timescales, cost and quality, to prove that solutions satisfy customer needs and business operating principles. You’ll be supporting the delivery of testing projects, identifying impact and managing resulting change.
As a Testing Analyst, you’ll be supporting the completion of system integration, user acceptance and regression testing within release schedule deadlines, and escalating issues identified during testing to ensure adequate resolution or workaround is implemented. You’ll be proactively identifying areas for improvement, escalating through appropriate governance routes and working with others to ensure fit for purpose, client centric solutions.
Day-to-day, you’ll be:
- Developing and maintaining robust automation frameworks to support both functional and non-functional testing
- Carrying out comprehensive testing activities, including smoke, sanity, and regression testing, to ensure software quality
- Working closely with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to interpret business requirements and translate them into effective test coverage
- Executing thorough testing of web user interfaces and validating backend data using SQL
- Applying hands-on experience with automation tools such as UFT One, UI Path, Selenium, or Playwright to streamline testing processes
- Preparing test plans, scenarios, scripts, and data; executing tests and managing defects throughout the testing lifecycle
- Managing testing across concurrent project releases, prioritising tasks based on business needs and timelines
- Supporting the Test Manager in delivering key testing outputs, including test scripts, test data, and progress reports
- Providing feedback on project documentation to support the development of test strategies, plans, and schedules
- Establishing strong relationships across teams to support project delivery and maintain momentum throughout the lifecycle
Qualifications
- Practical experience of testing design, planning and execution
- Proven application of testing methodologies
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to plan and prioritise workflow effectively
Requirements
- Experience of systems development lifecycle
- Experience in non-functional testing - load, volume, stress, security, accessibility, compatibility, penetration and back-out
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to gather and interpret information from a range of different sources, and in a number of different ways
