What you'll be doing

Join us at the heart of UK democracy! As a Technical Assurance Engineer (Electrical Systems) at the House of Commons, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and quality of electrical installations across the Parliamentary Estate. Working within our Property and Asset Strategy team, you'll provide technical assurance on complex projects, review designs and commissioning standards, and inspect installations to ensure compliance with British and European standards.

This is a unique opportunity to work on one of the most iconic estates in the world, where your expertise will help maintain and improve critical infrastructure that supports Parliament's daily operations.

What we're looking for

  • Strong background in electrical engineering with experience in building services installations
  • Ability to review designs, monitor compliance, and provide assurance on quality
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement and confident communication across all levels
  • Problem-solving approach to complex technical challenges
  • Familiarity with commissioning processes and standards, including NEC contracts
