We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Team Leader to support our Bedford operation. This is a hands-on role where you’ll help drive performance across the warehouse, maintain 5S and Opertune standards, support quality checks, and coach team members to achieve their best. Acting as a key link between the team and management, you’ll step up in the Supervisor’s absence and ensure targets for volume, quality and efficiency are consistently met, helping Whistl deliver the highest quality and most cost-effective service for our customers. About the RoleWhat You’ll Be DoingPeople & Resource Management Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism in all interactions.Support the coordination of shift activities, helping to prioritise and delegate tasks effectively.Monitor attendance, conduct, and performance in line with company policies.Train and coach team members from induction onwards to support their development.Assist in the creation of team performance reports (KPIs, absence, skills, H&S, etc.).Step up to run the shift in the Supervisor’s absence. Communication Support daily team briefs and debriefs to ensure clarity of goals and expectations.Help build a strong team culture through effective collaboration and information sharing. Process Management Maintain and encourage adherence to all standard operating procedures.Drive Opertune and 5S initiatives throughout the operation.Support quality checks to ensure compliance with processes and standards.Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, including H&S, Mail Integrity, CDG and Data Protection.Accurately record and report any incidents, accidents, or near miss
