The Role: Making a Difference in Secondary SEMH
This award-winning specialist provision is a safe haven for students, committed to offering a welcoming environment to learners who've experienced obstacles or had a difficult introduction to education. This setting supports 95 learners with Social, Emotional, or Mental Health (SEMH) needs and is both a primary and secondary provision.
The school recognizes the importance of supporting every learner's well-being alongside their education, offering them their first opportunity to be heard. They are now seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their secondary team on a full-time basis.
Your Responsibilities:
Support the class teacher with the day-to-day running of the class.
Provide support to a small class of 3-7 learners.
Work collaboratively with other TAs to offer specialist support to learners with complex needs.
Support in the delivery of engaging and interactive lessons and educational activities.
Support learners with SEN on a 1:1, small group, and whole-class basis.

Requirements: Your Essential Qualities
We are looking for committed individuals ready to make a profound difference:
Relevant SEN experience (highly desirable).
Experience (voluntary or paid) working with children and young adults.
GCSE Maths and English or equivalent (essential).
Eligibility to work in the UK (essential).
