  • Churchfields, the Village School is a thriving two site rural Church of England primary school, based at Atworth and Monkton Farleigh villages. Both sites teach in mixed-age classes with an all through primary age range at both bases. Both sites are easily accessible from Bristol and Bath.

All about the role

  • An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly team. We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative and highly motivated part-time teaching assistant to join our wonderful school family at the Atworth base.
  • We are proud to be a diverse workforce where everyone plays a vital role. Working primarily under direction of the Class Teacher and the SENDCo you will support pupils with their planned learning activities and programmes. The role also involves working as a MDSA during lunch times.
  • This is a rewarding role where you will be supporting young people on their educational journey, inspiring them to break barriers and communicating with parents to establish positive home/school relationships.

  • This is a fixed term contract until 31 August 2026, working 5.5 hours per day as a Teaching Assistant, and 1 hour as a MDSA, across two days. The post is term time only plus one Trust Development Day.
