• Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a secondary school setting.
• A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (Willingness to apply for one)

Responsibilities

• Assisting the class teacher with the preparation of resources and learning materials.
• Providing one-on-one and small group support to students, particularly those with SEN.
• Helping to manage classroom behaviour and ensuring a productive learning atmosphere.
• Monitoring and recording student progress and providing feedback to the teacher.
• Supporting students during school trips, break times, and other activities.
• Assisting with administrative tasks such as photocopying and display work.
• Promoting the independence and self-esteem of students.
• Helping to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and other support strategies.
• Fostering a positive and encouraging relationship with students.
• Ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
