Teaching Assistant – Mainstream Primary School (4 Form Entry, Hillingdon) We are working with a large, well-established 4-form entry mainstream primary school in Hillingdon seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 SEN support within the classroom. This role is ideal for someone confident supporting pupils with additional needs without removing them from learning — calm under pressure, firm but fair, and not afraid of challenging behaviour. The role: Providing 1:1 support for pupils with SEN within a mainstream classroom Supporting behaviour regulation, emotional needs, and engagement in learning Implementing behaviour strategies and individual support plans consistently Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support team Supporting learning while maintaining structure, boundaries, and expectations We’re looking for someone who: Has strong experience supporting SEN in a mainstream primary setting Is confident managing challenging behaviour in a calm, consistent way Understands the importance of routine, boundaries and positive reinforcement Is resilient, patient, and unflappable (because some days are… a lot) Works well as part of a large team and communicates clearly What’s on offer: Supportive SENCO and experienced leadership team Consistent work in a structured, well-resourced school Opportunity to develop SEN and behaviour management expertise
