Are you an empathetic, resilient, and dedicated individual looking for a hugely rewarding role supporting students with complex needs?
A highly successful and well-regarded Special School in Slough, dedicated to pupils aged 2 to 19 with a wide range of Special Educational Needs (SEND), is expanding! We are delighted to be opening a new satellite school and are searching for passionate Teaching Assistants to join our founding team.
The Opportunity: Become a Key Support
This is a fantastic chance to be integral to the success of a brand-new provision. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be crucial in supporting pupils with needs including Moderate Learning Difficulties, Severe Learning Difficulties (including Profound and Multiple Needs), and Autism.
Your role will involve:
1:1 and Small Group Support: Assisting teachers in delivering individualised learning plans and supporting pupils to access the curriculum.
Promoting Independence: Encouraging pupils to develop vital life skills, communication, and self-help skills.
Classroom Management: Helping to maintain a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment.
Personal Care: Providing sensitive support with personal care needs where required.
Communication: Utilising and learning specialist communication aids (such as Makaton, PECS, etc.) to help pupils express themselves.

Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEND, is desirable but not essential.
