As a General Secondary Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5, depending on the role). Your primary focus will be on maintaining high educational standards, fostering a positive learning environment, and driving student attainment.

Key Duties Include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality, differentiated lessons according to the school's curriculum.
• Assessing, recording, and reporting on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively and promoting a positive, disciplined learning environment.
• Contributing to the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular activities and school events.
• Collaborating with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure every student reaches their full potential.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date knowledge of curriculum and teaching methodologies.

Required Skills:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification is essential.
• A relevant university degree in a subject area is required.
• Proven ability to teach effectively at the secondary level (Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4).
• Exceptional classroom management and organisational skills.
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• An up-to-date Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (or willingness to obtain one).
