We are seeking to appoint an inspiring Teacher (Drama or Music) at Wayland Academy. If you are an excellent teacher, who is passionate about education and are excited about continuing to develop your practice, then we want to hear from you. Applications from Early Careers Teachers are welcomed.

You will be part of a team that delivers a broad, balanced, and inclusive curriculum for students. You’ll monitor and support students’ progress and development and contribute to raising standards and attainment, whilst motivating and challenging students to achieve their very best. You will work with the department to contribute to improving and developing current curriculum resources.

The main responsibility of this role will be:
- To ensure pupils receive an excellent education through the delivery of high-quality teaching
- To monitor and support overall progress and development of students as a teacher and therefore contribute to raising standards of student attainment
- To offer active support for the School’s Policy and Procedures

The ideal candidate will have:
- An appropriate degree and other qualifications required for the award of QTS.
Qualified Teacher Status (trainees should be on track to achieve QTS before taking up the post).
- Experience of teaching the subject in a secondary school across the 11-16 age range.
- Experience of the wider role of a teacher in the personal development of pupils, including the main responsibilities of a form tutor.
- Knowledge of the statutory requirements concerning Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, SEND and Child Protection
