Job Description: We’re setting up a legal entity in Portugal and need a qualified tax representative/accountant to handle our compliance. This will mainly involve filing returns and making sure we stay compliant with Portuguese tax laws. Important notes: We don’t expect to have any employees in Portugal. We don’t expect to generate any turnover in Portugal. The entity is being set up mainly for structural/admin purposes. What we need: Act as our official tax representative in Portugal. File all required corporate tax returns (and VAT if needed). Keep us updated on any new compliance obligations. Communicate with the Portuguese tax authority on our behalf. Provide simple guidance on what’s required for an entity with no staff/no revenue. Ideal freelancer: Licensed/qualified accountant or tax adviser in Portugal. Experience helping international companies set up or stay compliant in Portugal. Comfortable handling light workloads (mostly periodic filings). Communicates clearly in English. Ongoing work: This will be a low-volume, recurring engagement — mainly annual/quarterly filings and ad-hoc advice.
