Activity Leader - Job Overview

You'll be responsible for energetically leading our international students in a programme of on site activities and off site excursions, planning and preparing for sessions and helping to supervise throughout the day.

You'll be the glue that keeps the centre running; helping out where needed and being someone who the students can look up to and bringing energy and a smile to everything you do, following our core values - Care, Honesty, Energy, Empathy, Respect, and Smiles (CHEERS!).

Activities

You'll run a variety of onsite activities at the prestigious schools that host our camps - Disco, Jewellery Making, Dusemond World Cup, Slime Making, Karaoke and Just Dance and many more!

You’ll be expected to:

  • Set up necessary equipment and run activities safely
  • Energetically lead the activity and keeping everyone involved
  • Bring the “fun” to the sessions you run!
  • Occasionally make a fool of yourself - you might need to start the dancing at the disco!
  • Some activities will be outside your skill set. The important thing is to always have energy and enthusiasm!
  • Work closely as a team with the other activity staff
  • Always be “switched on” and engaging with the students whenever you’re in uniform!

Excursions

2-3 times a week there’ll be an excursion. You’ll lead groups on fun trips to various locations and in doing so you’ll be involved with:

  • Executing our guided tours
  • Doing some planning in advance - you shouldn't be looking at Google maps during the trip!
  • Keeping the students engaged and excited at all times
  • Working with our client - the students' Group Leader - and making sure they're satisfied with how the day is going
  • Getting groups to any entrances on time and managing any tickets
  • Getting everyone back to the coach and home in one piece!

Qualifications

Right to work in the UK - British/Irish Passport, Settled or Pre-Settled Status, Leave to Remain, Frontier Worker Permit or a Visa that allows work.

Travel Allowance
£30 one off payment towards travel to and from your centre
