  • The Education and Scholarships team is recruiting an experienced Coordinator to join the Student Support Team. The student support functional area is dedicated to delivering a student-centred experience that evolves in step with students’ needs. We lead the provision of a high-touch onboarding journey, coordinate a fully integrated internship programme for undergraduate students, and cultivate a vibrant, connected student community. The team ensures the execution of the benefits that come with being a student funded by EIT. The role is diverse, encompassing events management, onboarding new students, development and implementation of systems, case management and general resource development. The Student Progression Coordinator will support all aspects of delivering an elite student experience. The role will require out-of-hours work, such as during student events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a reliable, approachable, and accessible point of contact for the student community
  • Ensure, alongside the Student Support Manager and relevant EIT teams, that the benefits associated with the programme are efficiently dispensed according to policies and agreements.
  • Oversee the Student Management System (Salesforce), ensuring accurate, up-to-date records that enable seamless communication, meaningful engagement, and effective caseload management.
  • Facilitate the logistics of students' phased transition through Oxford.
  • Lead on planning and facilitating year-round student activities and events, both within and outside of Oxford, to promote wellness, fun, and bonding within the cohort.
  • Research opportunities and avenues to enhance student experience such as creating and compiling resources and signposting to additional assistance when necessary.
  • Triage behaviour and safeguarding concerns, promptly escalating issues to relevant team members and assisting with resolutions in compliance with developed policies and procedures.
  • Line manage the Student Support Administrator, providing clear guidance and actively supporting their professional development.
  • Assist the Student Support Manager as necessary.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Highly organised and highly personable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication with exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in running successful events frequently.
  • Passion for embedding wellness within communities and seeing people thrive.
  • High level of cultural understanding; being able to work with people from various backgrounds and levels of hierarchy.
  • Technically proficient – confident learning new systems; excellent MS Office skills
  • Ability to balance multiple varied projects in a fast-paced environment, staying on top of deadlines and deliverables.
  • Reliable, resourceful, and detail-oriented.
  • Collaborative working style, with a demonstrated commitment to the highest standards of ethics and confidentiality.

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with adaptable skills to accommodate a range of duties
  • Experience working and communicating with students and/or young people
  • Good understanding of the University of Oxford
  • Salesforce experience

Terms of Appointment

  • You must have the right to work permanently in the UK with a willingness to travel as necessary.
  • You will live in, or within easy commuting distance of, Oxford and can commit to being on site for at least 3 days per working week, sometimes more during busier periods where it is required.
  • During peak periods, some longer hours may be required and some working across multiple time zones due to the global nature of the programme.
