Role Description
American AgCredit is seeking a strategic, results-oriented leader to drive a multi-year organizational transformation program focused on strengthening our core business, reimagining simple transactions, and broadening the ways in which we serve our farmer and rancher customers. This role will work alongside executive and senior leadership to translate our vision into actions that drive meaningful changes within the organization across people, process, and technology.
- Shape and manage the program execution of a comprehensive transformation strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Partner with executives, senior leadership, and project teams across multiple workstreams to drive adoption and sustainable change.
- Oversee a portfolio of interconnected initiatives, anticipate collisions, raise risks and roadblocks, and dive deep when additional support is needed to maintain momentum.
- Proactively anticipate, address challenges, and adapt plans to overcome obstacles and ensure intended outcomes are met.
- Manage, lead, and mentor project teams both directly and indirectly through action, diving in where and when support is needed.
- Lead initiatives that optimize operations, enhance employee engagement, and ensure smooth transitions throughout the transformation.
- Ability to shape and create senior management/executive level messaging, presentations, and communication packages.
- Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external partners, fostering collaboration and alignment in execution.
- Establish key metrics and milestones to evaluate transformation success and iterate on strategies for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of enterprise program execution, governance, and status/performance measurement.
- Proven track record of leading transformational cross-functional initiatives, preferably within agriculture, finance or related industries.
- Ability to focus on the big picture and bring synergies across multiple teams for the benefit of the organization.
- Strong expertise in program management, change management, business strategy, and operational improvement.
- Experience successfully leading and managing others directly, within matrixed organizations, as well as through external parties.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, competing priorities, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong ability to analyze business challenges, anticipate risks, and develop innovative solutions.
- Ability to articulate vision, influence stakeholders, and drive engagement across all levels through the creation and presentation of program materials.
- Ability to influence executive leadership, gain buy-in and manage through large-scale organizational change.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, master’s degree preferred.
- 10 years of successful experience in a program management role with clear leadership responsibilities.
- 5 years of management or leadership experience outside the project management discipline.
- Experience with change management methodologies and concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully direct, coordinate, and strategically integrate multiple developmental, enhancement, and/or modification projects at an institutional level.
- Ability to effectively lead and influence a diverse team across disciplines.
- Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
- Experience with industry regulatory processes and agencies.
- Superb leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret operational needs, and develop integrated, creative solutions.
- Skill in business and financial planning and management.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present effectively to small and large groups.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement short- and long-range systems, capacity, technology, and operational plans.
