About

  • 1. Must be courteous to patients, visitors and employees.
  • 2. Administers diagnostic testing procedures to determine the extent of
  • patient's impairment and the prognosis for improvement. Identifies

  • 3. Sets objective, measurable treatment goals incorporating patient's goal for
  • functional outcome. Establishes a treatment plan based on patient needs

  • 4. Performs treatment procedures and adapts techniques to meet the needs
  • of patients. Reevaluates patients, modifies treatment plan and procedures

  • 5. Provides objective, analytic documentation of patient care, patient/family

  • Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors,

  • Master's Degree in Speech Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence awarded
  • by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • One to two years experience with swallowing
  • disorders preferred.
  • Adheres to the Professional Code of Ethics of the ASHA.
  • Maintains current CPR certification.
  • Demonstrates current clinical competency.
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • MATHEMATICAL and COMPUTER SKILLS
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical
  • inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to
  • practical situations. Basic computer skills.
  • REASONING ABILITY
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of
  • intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism
  • (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult
  • phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
