Join our specialist support worker team! We're seeking experienced and passionate support workers or senior support workers committed to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people. You'll join specialist teams providing high-level support, creating safe environments, and understanding the impact of trauma on young people's behaviors and communication.

What to expect:
- Dedicate your experience to a child or young person
- Provide day-to-day support (activities, appointments, family contact) - ideally with a driver's license and business insurance
- Engage and encourage participation in activities and structure
- Provide accurate reports for care plans and goals
- Play a critical role in safety and wellbeing
What you will bring:
To excel, you'll need to demonstrate:
- Experience supporting children and young people in a residential setting
- Confidence in de-escalating heightened behaviors and using de-escalation techniques
- Experience making decisions in challenging situations
- Understanding of detailed and accurate record-keeping and incident reporting
- Creativity in engaging and building trust
- Sound communication and judgment
- Clarity on protecting personal and professional boundaries
Commitment:
As an integral part of a specialist team, we're looking for individuals who can:
- Be a consistent part of a team offering dedicated support
- Provide and maintain availability for the duration of support
- Take time to read relevant reports, referrals, and profiles
Personality:

- Calmness during crisis situations (aggression, self-harm, destructive behaviors)
- Confidence to make prompt daily decisions
- Understanding of how trauma, experiences, and diagnoses impact behaviors

- Resilience to continue supporting through stressful situations and trying new ways to engage
- Observant with heightened awareness to share insights through reports and meetings
Skills and training:
- Ideally, a driver's license and business insurance
- DBS on update service or support for new application
- Registered with relevant regulatory body
- PMVA trained - ideally or willing to undertake training
