Randstad is seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to provide specialist note-taking support for a deaf student studying Medicine at the University of Edinburgh. About the Role

As a Specialist Notetaker, you will attend lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions to produce clear, accurate, and well-structured notes. Your notes will serve as an essential learning aid, ensuring the student has equal access to course content and discussions.

Timetable

Support is required for the following sessions:

• Monday: 9:00 - 17:00

• Tuesday: 9:00 - 13:00

• Thursday: 9:00 - 17:00

• Friday: 9:00 - 17:00

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate, concise, and accessible notes for all scheduled classes (typed or handwritten as required).

• Review and edit notes post-session to ensure clarity and completeness.

• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and appropriate boundaries at all times.

• Prioritise the student's needs and work in line with University and Randstad procedures.

• Communicate promptly with Randstad regarding any student or scheduling concerns.

Requirements

• Excellent typing skills with strong spelling and grammar.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively.

• Comfortable working in fast-paced academic environments.

• Organised, discreet, and professional in all communications.

• Must have access to a personal laptop for note-taking and email delivery.
