This is anexciting opportunityfor an enthusiastic, motivated, and experienced pharmacist to join ourdynamic pharmacy team at Wexham Park Hospital.

The post is ideal forPrimary Care Pharmacistsseeking to transition into hospital pharmacy, as well asjunior hospital pharmacistslooking to broaden their clinical experience and take on aspecialist rotational rolewithin a supportive and progressive hospital environment.

OurBand 7 rotationsare designed to provide exposure to a wide range of clinical specialties and to develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence required for progression to advanced-level or specialist roles. You will work closely withLead Pharmacists, clinicians, nursing staff, and senior managersto enhance and develop pharmaceutical services across multiple directorates, ensuring safe and effective use of medicines and optimal patient outcomes.

· TheSpecialist Rotational Clinical Pharmacistwill work as part of adynamic multidisciplinary teamto provide high-quality clinical pharmacy services across a range of specialty wards and clinical areas. The postholder will contribute to thesafe, effective, and optimised use of medicines, ensuring compliance with Trust, national, and professional standards. They will act as arole model for clinical excellence, demonstrating advanced knowledge, sound professional judgement, and leadership within clinical pharmacy practice.

· The postholder willdeliver and develop pharmaceutical carein line with the Trust’s strategic and departmental objectives, collaborating closely withLead Pharmacists, clinicians, nursing staff, and senior managersto support medicines optimisation and service improvement. They will provideeducation, training, and supervisionfor junior pharmacists, trainee pharmacists, and pharmacy technicians, helping to build competence and confidence across the team.

· The role includes participation inspecialist clinical rotationsto develop advanced knowledge and prepare for future progression, as well as involvement inclinical governance, research, audit, and service developmentto drive continuous quality improvement.

· While based primarily atWexham Park Hospital, the postholder may be required to travel to other sites withinFrimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, includingHeatherwood Hospital, to meet service needs and support integrated pharmacy services across the organisation.

TheSpecialist Rotational Clinical Pharmacistwill be an integral member of theFrimley Health NHS Foundation Trust (FHFT)pharmacy team, working primarily atWexham Park Hospital, with opportunities to gain experience across multiple clinical specialties.

The postholder will:

· Provide high-qualityclinical pharmacy servicesacross a range of wards and specialist areas, ensuring the safe, effective, and evidence-based use of medicines.

· Supportmedicines optimisation and patient safety initiatives, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver the highest standards of pharmaceutical care.

· Act as arole model for clinical excellence, demonstrating advanced knowledge, sound professional judgement, and a commitment to service improvement.

· Contribute toeducation and training, supporting the professional development of trainee pharmacists, junior pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other healthcare professionals.

· Participate inservice development, clinical audit, and research activitiesto improve the quality and efficiency of pharmacy services.

· Provide support todispensary services(both inpatient and outpatient) as required, including clinical screening, accuracy checking, and patient counselling.

· Undertake duties as part of thelate, weekend, and Bank Holiday rotas, and contribute to theon-call servicein line with departmental requirements.

· Work collaboratively across sites, includingHeatherwood Hospital, to support the delivery of consistent and integrated pharmacy services throughout the Trust.

This is apart-time position, and the postholder will be expected to participate inevening, weekend, and Bank Holiday dutiesas part of the departmental rota.
