Our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school in Plymouth is looking for dedicated individuals to join our team on a permanent basis.About the Role:Work closely with children and young people who require trauma-informed care and support.Create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment.Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to meet individual needs.Essential Skills & Qualities:Resilience and Emotional Stability – Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations.Empathy and Active Listening – Understand and respond to the emotional needs of children.Strong Communication Skills – Work effectively with pupils, colleagues, and families.Adaptability – Respond to changing needs and behaviours with patience and flexibility.Problem-Solving – Think creatively to manage behaviour and support learning.Teamwork – Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care.Desirable Backgrounds:Care, mental health, social work, youth work, or similar fields.Trauma-informed practice experience (training provided if not).Benefits: Comprehensive training in trauma-informed approaches.
