The Role:
We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and highly responsible SEN LSA to provide essential medical, physical, and educational support to pupils with complex physical disabilities. This role requires close adherence to care plans and excellent attention to detail.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist with mobility and physical activities, including using specialist equipment (e.g., wheelchairs, standing frames, hoists), following manual handling protocols.
- Provide intimate care (feeding, toileting, dressing) with the utmost discretion and respect for the student's privacy and dignity.
- Monitor and administer emergency medication (e.g., epilepsy rescue medication, EpiPens) following detailed training and strict health protocols.
- Support the pupil in accessing the curriculum by scribing, turning pages, or adapting the classroom setup as required.
- Attend to the pupil's safety and well-being throughout the day, including break times, lunch, and during movement between classes.
- Liaise regularly with parents, school nurses, and physiotherapists to ensure care plans are current and consistently applied.
- Assist the pupil in developing independence and self-help skills related to their physical care routines.
What We're Looking For
We require a candidate with excellent reliability and a sensitive, responsible nature.
- Prior experience assisting with personal care and/or complex physical and medical needs.
- Training certification in Manual Handling and Hoisting (or willingness to undertake immediate training).
- Proven ability to follow detailed medical and health care plans accurately and responsibly.
- A high level of physical fitness and stamina to meet the demands of supporting a pupil's mobility.
- Exceptional discretion, empathy, and professionalism when dealing with intimate care.
- A First Aid qualification is highly desirable.
- A steadfast commitment to ensuring the pupil's safety and full inclusion in all school activities.
