We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and dedicated Teacher of Spanish to join our successful and expanding Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) department.

The Role: Teacher of Spanish
This role involves teaching Spanish across Key Stage 3 (KS3), Key Stage 4 (KS4 - GCSE), and potentially Key Stage 5 (KS5 - A-Level), depending on experience and expertise. You will be instrumental in developing students' linguistic proficiency, cultural understanding, and their overall enjoyment of language learning.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, high-quality Spanish lessons to students across all key stages and abilities.
- Assess, mark, and track student progress rigorously, providing constructive feedback to accelerate learning and raise attainment.
- Develop and adapt Scheme of Work (SoW) and curriculum materials to ensure they are current, challenging, and culturally relevant.
- Maintain a positive, well-organised, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages participation and promotes a love for the Spanish language.
- Contribute to the extra-curricular provision of the MFL department, such as language clubs, cultural trips, or international exchange programs.
- Work collaboratively with department colleagues to share best practice, moderate work, and contribute to department improvement plans.
- Communicate effectively with parents/carers about student progress and foster a supportive learning partnership.
What We're Looking For
We are searching for an inspiring and dynamic linguist to join our team.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential, with a relevant degree in Spanish or a related field.
- Proven ability to teach Spanish successfully to at least GCSE level, with the capacity to teach to A-Level being highly desirable.
- Native or near-native fluency in Spanish, with a deep understanding of Hispanic cultures.
- A track record of achieving excellent student outcomes and contributing to rising attainment within an MFL department.
- Expertise in utilising a range of teaching methodologies, including digital resources, to enhance language acquisition.
- Highly collaborative, with strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of teaching and learning and participating in the wider life of the school.
