The Role: Spanish TeacherWe are seeking an enthusiastic and highly qualified Spanish Teacher to lead instruction across various levels, from beginner to advanced placement (AP) or equivalent. This crucial role involves developing students' fluency, cultural literacy, and ability to communicate effectively in Spanish.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver a dynamic, communicative-based curriculum for Spanish language and culture classes.
- Instruct students at multiple proficiency levels (e.g., Spanish I through AP/A-Level).
- Employ a variety of engaging teaching methods, including immersion, interactive activities, multimedia, and authentic resources.
- Assess and track student performance in the four key areas of language acquisition: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
- Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that encourages risk-taking and confidence in speaking the language.
- Organize and lead cultural enrichment activities, such as school celebrations, field trips, or study abroad preparation.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in the World Languages department on curriculum alignment, resource sharing, and best practices.
- Provide constructive feedback and academic support to students to ensure continuous linguistic development.
- Maintain professional currency through participation in relevant training, workshops, and language immersion experiences.
We are looking for a dedicated educator with a profound love for the Spanish language and the ability to inspire that passion in students.
- A degree (or advanced degree) in Spanish, Education, or a related field.
- Native or near-native fluency in Spanish.
- Proven experience teaching Spanish at the secondary level, including preparing students for advanced-level examinations (e.g., AP, IB, or A-Level).
- Deep cultural knowledge of the Spanish-speaking world (Spain, Latin America, etc.).
- Expertise in communicative language teaching methodologies and technology integration in the language classroom.
- Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to connect effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A proactive, positive attitude and a commitment to continuous professional growth.
