Our client is looking are looking to strengthen their team based in offices just north of Sheffield City Centre with the appointment of a Solicitor and/or Chartered Legal Executive. They are part of a national business which employs over 500 people, in debt recovery, throughout the UK.Basic salary is from £28,000 up to £45,000 (depending on experience) + monthly bonus potential of up to £300 a month.The PositionKey elements of the role will include:Personal Management of a Defended caseload via a case management systemReview High Value or Complex pre-legal debts to assess suitability for legal actionPursue defended claims through small claims, fast track and multi-track by drafting pleadings, witness statements and producing court bundles.Advise and liaise with clients on legal matters, prospects for successful recovery and assist with overcoming disputes and reasons for non-paymentWork with courts, enforcement agencies and other suppliers to ensure high standards of service are maintained at all timesInsolvency Action - Bankruptcy/Winding Up PetitionsReturn of Goods ClaimsSuch other duties as may be requiredRequirementsTo be successful in the role you will need to demonstrate:A law degree (or equivalent legal qualifications) and have previous practical experience of legal collection, and be either a Solicitor or Chartered Legal ExecutivePrevious experience in running a Defended caseload on the Small Claims Track is preferredGood IT skills – able to adapt and use new systems.Problem solving skills - able to look for solutions and agree these with customers.Confidence in making and receiving telephone calls.Clear communication capabilities – both written and verbal.The ability to work to targets –
