The Role:
Wiltshire Council is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join the Families and Children's Services team. You will work with children and young people, ensuring their safety, well-being, and progression through appropriate interventions. The role involves safeguarding, care planning, case conferencing, and contributing to Looked After Children reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

Apply knowledge of safeguarding to promote the welfare of children and young people.

Conduct assessments and maintain case records in accordance with statutory requirements.

Chair and contribute to professional meetings with children, families, and multi-agency partners.

Develop professional relationships with children, young people, families, and colleagues while maintaining appropriate boundaries.

Implement care plans and provide interventions that support positive outcomes for children.

Participate in Looked After Children reviews and contribute to ongoing monitoring and support processes.

Candidate Requirements:

Proven knowledge and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Strong understanding of principles and procedures for supporting children, including care planning, case conferencing, and Looked After Children reviews.

Ability to chair meetings professionally and effectively.

Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with children, young people, families, and colleagues.

Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries in all professional interactions.
