The role:

• Conducting child protection investigations and risk assessments.
• Developing, implementing, and reviewing child's plans and care plans.
• Working collaboratively with families, other agencies, and professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children.
• Providing direct support and advice to children and families.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records.
• Attending and contributing to case conferences, court proceedings, and other relevant meetings.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A degree in Social Work or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
• Current SSSC registration as a social worker.
• A minimum of five years of post-qualifying experience in a children and families setting is essential.
• Alternatively, a minimum of three years of post-qualifying experience, coupled with experience in adult mental health, will be considered.
• A strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection in Scotland.
• Excellent communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills.
