We're seeking a Social Worker to join a dedicated Children and Families Team in Moray. This is a crucial role focused on child protection and supporting the welfare of children and their families in the local community.
We require a candidate with at least five years of experience in a children and families setting. However, we will also consider applicants with a minimum of three years of experience combined with a background in adult mental health.

The role:
- Conducting child protection investigations and risk assessments.
- Developing, implementing, and reviewing child's plans and care plans.
- Working collaboratively with families, other agencies, and professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children.
- Providing direct support and advice to children and families.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records.
- Attending and contributing to case conferences, court proceedings, and other relevant meetings.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A degree in Social Work or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
- Current SSSC registration as a social worker.
- A minimum of five years of post-qualifying experience in a children and families setting is essential.
- Alternatively, a minimum of three years of post-qualifying experience, coupled with experience in adult mental health, will be considered.
- A strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection in Scotland.
- Excellent communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills.
